Dr. Indra Karalasingham is the only Australian qualified GP in Cobar having qualified with the degree of MBBS (Adelaide,)and has worked in the teaching hospitals of Adelaide, CanberraDr Indra and Auckland NZ. During this time he has worked extensively in Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Endocrinology, Orthopedics and Fractures, Obstetrics and Gynecology & all aspects of general Medicine. He obtained post graduate qualifications with Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Auckland. Before moving to Cobar, he worked in Auckland (NZ's Largest City) as a GP working in a variety of emergency and general practice situations gaining extensive experience in all areas of medicine.<br> Dr. Indra is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week via A/H mobile (0458 444 774) after surgery hours. Please contact to be seen immediately or to arrange a suitable time. <br> Please note Dr.Indra's patients who are admitted to the local Cobar Hospital should request the hospital that they prefer to be under his care in hospital and not under other GPs. This would enable him to manage their condition better than someone who does not know the patients medical history.. Dr. Indra would prefer his Patients to be seen by himself before going to the local Health Service, unless it is a medical emergency.<br> For patients seen after hours medications including antibiotics are available (Patients will be not charged for these medications).<br> Dr. Indra will do home visits to the Elderly and Disabled Patients that are not capable of attending the surgery. Prior arrangement is preferred for these visits, unless it is an Emergency.
